Why do I need WordPress support?

You are a busy professional. The last thing you need to worry about is whether or not your website is up and running. WordPress websites require monitoring, maintenance, and backup/restore applications in order to run effectively over time. This plan covers all software updates, plugins, themes, security, backups and restores if necessary.

What can you help me with?

The WP Whistle team are WordPress pros and we’re under the hood all day long. We know WordPress in and out and have never come across a WordPress problem we couldn’t handle. If you have a specific WordPress issue but are not sure if we can help, use the chat box over on the right or send us an email.

Is this different from what my web host provides?

Speaking with your web host about technical issues can get a little confusing. We’ll handle all the support related issues so you don’t have to. Additionally, hosting providers rarely perform plugin or theme updates. Most WordPress websites have a theme and a dozen or more plugins that extend the functionality of the site. It’s just as important to keep these updated to avoid conflicts and security issues. Depending on your plan, we also include Google Analytics integration which gives you access to important SEO and visitor behavior data. It’s all included in the Monthly Report.

How do you handle backups?

Backups are taken daily or weekly depending on your plan. Each backup is a complete snapshot of both website files and the database. Backups are stored on secure servers and allow access to the previous 30 backups should we need to restore your site or retrieve lost information.

What edits or content changes can you make

Examples of small content changes include changing or adding images, changing or adding text, installing new plugins, adding new sections to existing pages, managing or adding blog posts. It’s a long list! If a request is outside of our list of approved changes, we will let you know and offer to make those changes for you at a reduced rate of $45 hour.

What is included in the two-hour consultation

The consultation is a great way to connect you to marketing and business professionals. Examples include discussing marketing strategy, tactics and best practices. We can lay out actionable plans to help you boost revenue, lead generation, sales funnels, email marketing or pay per click. The sky’s the limit!

 

When are you available?

We] monitor incoming support requests daily and on weekends as well. Our team usually responds to those within 4 hours or less. Major support issues may take up to 24 hours to resolve. We’re easy to get ahold of, so just call, chat or send us an email.

Do I have to commit to a contract?

Our Monthly plans are billed using a recurring monthly subscription. There are no contracts to sign, setup fees or cancellation fees with our monthly plan. Our customers retain us every month because we’re WordPress pros and they love not having to worry about their website anymore. The Annual plan has all the same features as the monthly plan but cannot be refunded. When you sign up for this you receive 365 days of professional WordPress support.

How do you handle billing?

We can handle this one of two ways. The preferred method is that you sign up for the annual or monthly plan above with a credit card. We can also send you electronic invoices every month or, once per year depending on what plan you choose. With those invoices, you can pay online or send us a check.

Do you build websites?

We do not build websites. However, we recommend Kitzmiller Media for all things design and marketing, including WordPress website design and development.

Do you recommend a WordPress host?

Absolutely. We recommend Flywheel or WP Engine for professional WordPress hosting. You can’t go wrong with either one!

What will you need from me to get started?

In order to do this correctly, we will need some login credentials for BOTH your WordPress website and your FTP host. In case you don’t have the login info handy, or if you don’t understand what we’re asking for, don’t worry, the WP Whistle pros will walk you through it.
